What is McKinley Tech?

McKinley Technology High school in Northeast Washington, D.C. with three high-level STEM programs: Biotechnology, Information Technology, and Engineering. The school's FRC team is the 1915 Firebirds. Our team roster averages 20 students, from very diverse backgrounds, but all of us are united by our love of STEM.

 Team History

Our team had humble beginnings, starting in a small attic in our school in 2006. Over the years we have accumulated more team members and greater recognition as a small DC team by expanding our representation throughout D.C., hosting events such as out annual "Tech Day", which are vital to our team as it introduces new people to the FRC and STEM.
